W is for WHOA mama!

WHOA mama! I seriously can't believe that I am posting this...This picture was at the end of a long day 2 weeks ago. It's the best picture I have of "the belly." Smith is getting bigger and bigger and moving and kicking A LOT! Reed absolutely loves feeling him kick! I cannot believe that I am beginning my third trimester! The past few months have gone by SO fast and I can't believe that Smith will be here so soon! Luckily, I still feel great! I am a little worn out and I am really starting to "feel" the extra weight I am carrying, but I really can't complain. The new bed is helping a lot with my sleeping and trying to slow down at the store. We are so swamped right now, but I am hoping that my girls will be able to take over and handle things this summer. So that's it. I did it. I just posted a picture of my belly. Happy?

U is also for Urban Grace...
U is also for Urban Grace! I know...I did 2 U's. Why in the world would someone who hates the alphabet game do TWO U's??? Because.....This is my FAVORITE blog and I check it every single day. My sister was very lucky to find a wonderful friend like Erika when she moved to Santa Rosa Beach, FL...So I got to know her through Laura and my trips to Florida. Erika is SO talented and it is a blessing to get to peek into her life...and her brilliant mind, on a daily basis. Reading her blog inspires me to be creative, encourages me to be think out side of the box, and allows me to escape to a place of design and inspiration. I highly recommend Erika's blog for your daily dose of inspiration!

U is for Ultra Plush!

This is a picture of what Reed and I looked like at Miskelly's on Saturday...okay, but not in our pajamas! If you have never been mattress shopping...I highly recommend it for a Saturday morning activity. (Even if you aren't going to buy one...shop for one!) It's kinda like when you go to the BMW place and act like you are in the market for a new convertible just so they will let you test drive it around town on a beautiful day...

Reed and I sleep in a QUEEN SIZE bed. Let me remind all of you that my husband is 6'5" about 240 and I am almost 6 feet tall and.....well, pregnant! Let's just say that "snuggling" or NOT "snuggling" was not really an option for us. Its been a long time coming, but the bigger I get, the more I get up to go to the bathroom, the longer it takes me to go back to sleep....the more miserable we BOTH are!

We went to Miskelly's (who we love shopping with and recommend to anyone) to get a new KING SIZE mattress! We laid on tons of mattresses, rolled around...and I mean rolled around without even touching each other! It was great! We finally agreed on a mattress and it was a DONE DEAL! Our new Ultra Plush Sealy Pillow top KING SIZE mattress will arrive on THURSDAY...and we cannot wait! Thursday will be the best day EVER!!!

T is for Tuesday...

Okay, so today is Tuesday and I have not updated in a while. I am tired of the alphabet game so I am going to try to finish it soon. I know, I know...I am terrible at this.

I have had a few requests for BELLY pictures and I hate to disappoint you, but you are not going to see this belly for a while. Maybe once I finally finish this stupid alphabet game I will get crazy and post some pics but for now we will just leave this up to your imagination.

This may be really really boring, but ere is what I have been up to:

- We have been working so hard in the store for the past few weeks and it has totally worn me out...BUT it looks GREAT! I will post pics here and on the MINT blog soon!

- Reed and I went to Jackson last weekend and did TWO really exciting things. We registered for baby stuff...AND.....drum roll please.....WE GOT A NEW BED! - I will post more about this later. This is a long story!

- My friend, Kate, is getting married in June and we have had lots of showers and parties to go to! It is so much fun being the matron of honor...I just can't wait to go to the beach at the end of MAY!!!

-Andrew, my sweet brother, was named Mr. Madison-Ridgeland Academy!!! See my sister Laura's blog for pictures!

- I am growing. I just keep growing. THAT is really what I have been doing.

Hmmm.....U...what in the world am I going to post for U?

S is for Smith...

It's a BOY! We cannot wait to welcome

Stephen Smith Stringer
into our family.
Reed and I went to the doctor yesterday and we have a healthy little boy on the way. Smith was very cooperative and he is definitely a boy! It was such a blessing to share that moment with Reed. We were both so amazed at how neat it was to watch him on the ultrasound. I really wish I would have had a video camera to capture Reed's expressions as he watched. He was totally in awe of this child. We cannot wait for him to get here and we are so thankful for this wonderful blessing! Please pray for us as we continue to prepare for this exciting time!

R is for REED...
R is for my wonderful husband Reed. Reed and I have been married for a year and a half and cannot imaging my life without him. We have so much fun together. I never thought I would live in Starkville when I grew up, but I absolutely love it and I would move anywhere as long as Reed was with me!
Reed and I are so blessed. We have wonderful families and great friends. We are both thankful every day that we have jobs that we absolutely love.
Reed loves football, his little brother, Christmas, steak, Dave Ramsey, our schnauzer Stella, going to the cabin, running, and most importantly, he loves me!
Reed is a wonderful husband, a great uncle, my best friend, and he is going to be the best daddy in the whole world!

Q is for QUESTION....

Is Baby Stringer a BOY or a GIRL?

It won't be long.....so what do YOU think?

P is for Pickles and Ice Cream....

Okay, whoever said that pregnant women want to eat pickles all the time was sadly mistaken. I have never liked pickles and I STILL don't like pickles. They are gross. ALL pickles are gross...sweet pickles, dill pickles....I mean, there is nothing grosser to me that people buying a giant pickle out of a jar at a ballgame or the movies and eating like its a yummy hotdog. YUCK! Pickles are gross...EVEN when you are pregnant!

Now ice cream on the other hand...is another story. I have always liked ice cream and find myself wanting at least "a little bite" after supper each night. I have always been a fan of Baskin Robbins Pralines and Cream, Cold Stone's Cheesecake with Strawberries and Classic Homemade Vanilla from Blue Bell....but these days I am a sucker for Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns! I swear it is the best ice cream in the world! I actually discovered this flavor last summer at the beach...We were on our annual beach trip with Reed's mom and "the crew" over Memorial Day weekend when we made a late night run to the grocery to get some snacks! I have not had it many times since then...until now. Our freezer is stocked. Well....its WAS stocked until I got out of the bathtub tonight to find my wonderful husband scarfing down the last few bites in the last tub of Cinnamon Buns. (This was not a good moment at our house.) I had been dreaming about those last few bites whiles I was in the tub...and just like that they were gone! GONE! Don't worry...I am sure my sweet husband will have me restocked in no time!
