O is for the OTHER Emily...
Okay, so maybe I am actually the "other" Emily. We have actually been referred to a lot as "the Emily's" but our personal favorite is "the hummingbirds."
Emily is one of my very best friends. We went to high school and college together and were sorority sisters, but we did not actually become best friends until after college when we both married football coaches. (2 weeks apart.) We lived just down the street on Hummingbird Lane (hence the nickname).
We became obsessed with decorating our houses, playing with our dogs and being coaches wives. We spent a lot of time together because our husbands were on the same schedule AND we were the only ones who actually understood each other and the lives we were beginning!
I was very sad when Emily and Shane moved to Columbia, SC, but I must say that I love visiting her there and they have GREAT shopping! You can only imagine how excited I was to find out that BABY BEAMER will arrive only a few weeks after BABY STRINGER. That's right ...we are exactly 3 weeks apart and it has been such a blessing to share this wonderful experience with Emily. Emily is coming to visit in May... she is actually coming to visit her parents, but I like to think she is coming to see ME! Emily is such a wonderful friend who is always thoughtful and caring. I love her so much that I don't even mind being "the OTHER" Emily!

N is for Never-ending...

as in...the NEVER-ENDING pile of clothes at the store that I need to get out. I am NOT posting a picture of this! You would either think I was lazy and wonder what in the world we do all day at work OR you would feel really sorry for me and think I was crazy for owning a consignment store. But...I LOVE it! We are just so busy right now. Everyone is doing spring cleaning and bringing their items in to consign! And I don't mean they bring in a few tops to sell....they clean out their WHOLE house and bring in 100 of items!!!

Luckily, shoppers are coming in just as fast as consignors! We are also working on our "facelift..." adding new racks and fixtures...new displays and lots of new clothes! Things are crazy but if I could just get to the bottom of this NEVER-ENDING pile of clothes I could take a deep breath!

M is for MAKE-OVER...Take a good look at these BEFORE pictures of MINT. MINT is getting a spring MAKE-OVER! We have grown so much in 8 months that we really needed a little renovation. When I first opened the store 8 months ago, I bought a few racks and thought," What in the world I am going to put in this big ole store?" Now, 350 consignors and 9,000 items of inventory later its more like, "Where in the world am I going to put all this stuff?" We began our "Make-over" this past week (one of the reasons for my lack of posting the last few days.) The store is a little messy right now, but we hope to have the make-over complete in about 2 or 3 weeks. Look forward to the AFTER pictures...coming soon.

L is for Lipstick...
Anne Parks got into Laura's lipstick in the car the other day. She thought it was just lip gloss and when Laura showed her in the mirror it really scared her!
I thought this was the cutest face!

K is for KATE!!!
This is my friend, Kate, and her fiance, Sean with me and Reed last Spring. Kate and I met in 2001 when she came through RUSH at STATE. We became the best of friends and lived together in the twin towers at Highlands Plantation.
Kate is getting married on June 14 and I cannot wait! She is going to be the most beautiful bride!!!! ...and I am going to be the FATTEST maid of honor!!!
Kate is a great friend, she has a beautiful voice, she is a terrible cook (sorry, Sean!), she has more clothes than anyone I know, she keeps all her shoes IN the boxes organized in the top of her closet, she loves to eat at Cappe's and she sends cards in the mail for EVERYTHING!
I think Kate is coming to visit me in a few weeks and I am so excited!!! Come on Kate! Cappe's is waiting! I LOVE YOU!

J is for Jesus LOVES me....
Anne Parks is SO cute...AND she is really smart. I have been going to Madison a lot lately to watch Andrew play basketball and so I have gotten to spend a lot of time with her.
She loves singing. Her favorite songs are "Jesus Loves Me," "This Little Light of Mine," and "Sock-jamas."(a song she and her mama sing when she is getting ready for bed.)
I am so glad she lives closer now and I get to see her a lot. She changes so much every time I see her.
I love my Anne Parks!!!
