childhood favorites.

I have wonderful memories from my childhood and I hope to help Smith and his little brother make lots of fun memories of their own. I know it is a small thing, but something I always remember is my mama making Chef Boyardee Pizzas! I thought they tasted so good and that they were soooo cool because she made them in a rectangle! They weren't round! How crazy! I loved the little square pieces she cut and loved when I got to help her make them.
Smith loves to help me cook. As soon as I start supper he goes to the utensil drawer and pulls out a spoon or two, and then gets his steps from the bathroom sink and brings them to the kitchen!
So, tonight Smith and I made our first Chef Boyardee Pizza together. It was lots of fun and VERY good!

Here's to square pizza and many more fun memories in the kitchen!

fall camp.

After tomorrow, Reed, Smith and I will have successfully made it through our first FALL CAMP as Clemson Tigers. (and my first fall camp 21 weeks pregnant and chasing a 2 year old!)
I would love to complain about how early Daddy goes to work and how we are already in bed when he gets home...and how last night we shared our first meal together in 3 weeks...BUT I am SO thankful for two things that makes it all okay.
I am thankful that my husband is blessed to have a job that he loves and that makes him happy; and
I am also thankful that I get to spend my days with my favorite little man!
Saturday, the Tigers scrimmaged at the stadium and Smith was so excited to get to watch the boys play and to spend some time with Daddy afterwards.
Is this little boy excited to see his Daddy, or what???

They had some intense football discussion....
...and a little fun, too!
We are so happy that the season is only a few weeks away and cannot wait to experience our first game in DEATH VALLEY.

Good Morning from Clemson!

shhhhhAAAArks!

Smith's Aunt Jess and Uncle Awesome sent him some sea creature tub toys for his birthday and he LOVES the "shhhhhAAAArks!" Last night while he was in the tub I am pretty sure he said his first (completely correct) sentence! He's been saying lots of things that sound like sentences, but always leaving out a few words or prepositions....but last night he said,
"Mama! Watch dis shhhhAAArk jump in da water!"
He is getting so big and I just love every second with him.
He is so funny and full of energy and has a HUGE personality!
I have been working on his "two-year-old post" for 2 weeks now,
but I just keep thinking of new things to add. Hopefully I will be able to post it soon!

mini-vacay!

Smith and I took a little vacation a few weeks ago and I forgot to post the pics!
When Reed starts football and leaves me all alone it means one thing...
the other Emily is all alone, too! It's great that my best friend's husband is a coach, too because even though that are at different schools, they pretty much have the same schedules...
So when they hit the practice field, we hit the lake!!!
Smith helping me pack the cooler!

We spent most of our time RIGHT HERE....under a big umbrella at the pool.

Smith and Sutton actually played together this time for the first time...Has it really taken them TWO years to decide they are friends???

We had lots of fun and can't wait to see the Beamers again SOON since we live so close now!!!

"BIG fish" and more visitors!

Last week Smith and I made the short trip to Atlanta to visit the Georgia Aquarium and visit with some of our favorite Starkville friends...
Smith LOVED every minute!

the peguins were his favorite....so we grabbed one to take home!

our guests enjoyed their tour of the facilities!
....and around the beautiful campus.
they got all decked out in their new Clemson gear and we TRIED to get a group picture!

...more pictures AND more visitors to come!!!

Merry Merry Christmas.

Reed, Smith, and I are very excited that a healthy baby BOY will be joining our family in December! It's funny that he is due on December 26th, considering that I have always said that I never wanted a "Christmas Baby." I have always felt so sorry for people who unfortunately had to celebrate their birthdays at Christmas. It just doesn't seem fair that everyone else is getting presents, too!!!
Now that a "Christmas Baby" is on the way, I look forward to making new traditions at Christmastime with our little family and the birthday boy!
