water, water, water!

Smith LOVES the water! Being in Carthage for the summer was great, not only because he was able to spend time with his grandparents, but because Tizzie and Grandpa live across the street from the Country Club and CC and Bop have a pool, too!
There have been many HOT days this summer so we spent
many of them cooling off in the WATER!

Swimming with Smith is NOT a relaxing day at the pool, so it was good to have help!!! We usually ALL needed a nap after a few hours at the pool!

i love swimming!

For Smith's birthday, CC and "Bop" gave him a WONDERFUL gift....
SWIMMING LESSONS!
His class met 4 days a week for 2 weeks and there were 3 other little boys in his class. He had so much fun and I am so proud of him. He loves jumping in the water, going down the slide and is FEARLESS when it comes to going under or trying to swim!

Anne Parks was taking lessons, too so they got to watch each other swim,
and then "rock" on the swing afterwards!

Smith made me so proud by being a leader in his class. He was almost the youngest, but when the others would cry or act scared, he would splash and laugh and make them all feel better! He would even clap and cheer for each boy when they took their turn!

Starkville....

Although we just arrived in Clemson, we actually said goodbye to Starkville in May. With the help of my wonderful parents and brother, AND an EXTRA Uhaul...we loaded everything up and headed to Clemson. My sister, brother, and brother-in-law all took the trip with us to help us unpack and settle into the new house!

Here are few pics of Smith's last days in Starkville!

"helping" on moving day!

Smith with his teacher Miss Emily on his last day of school.
I know he (and I both) will miss the "fenced -in" backyard!!!

Goodbye, Starkville.

mullet no more.

my sweet little BOY looked like a GIRL today...
before his FIRST hair cut!he did a great job and luckily...Nicole was really fast!
it was so cute how proud he was...after the haircut he was running around, laughing, flirting, and totally cheesing up to everyone!
it was SO cute.
i wouldn't let her cut TOO much, but the the wings and the mullet just HAD to go...
he no longer looks like a little girl...OR a little boy!
he is a CHILD!
